The Esl Academix is a dedicated DeeJay Training & Education Center situated in Brussels, capital city of Belgium / Europe.

We started up our Dj Academy in september 2007. Our Mission is to give a formation to people on skills about music animation and to give opportunities to already qualified DeeJay’s.

Julien Prioul, initiator of this project, located the school in a place called De Meer, a beautiful environment (600m2 by 180m2 square ground). De Meer is the domain of all round entertainment (art, exposition rooms, events, castings, repetition ground & workshops).

Approach

Formation Dj Level 1

We have made several private cabins (6) to give our Dj ’s the opportunity to work out their technics. Professional Dj teachers are always present to help and fill in the needs of our Dj-students. We have installed a superb pro dancefloor to let the Dj feel the vibrations when he will be going out to perform on stage & show out his work in the near future. We work hard on personal Dj planning, step by step programming : 

we want Academix Dj Quality ! We allow just 10 students for each stage of apprentice.

Program Elements : 

mixing technics – scratch – music education – sound & light – cables & connections – effects – pc outwork hard & sofware – all round consult

Time Schedule :

Course of 240 Hours spread out over 10 months. All lessons are give outside normal office hours to give everyone a chance to participate on 2 or 3 trainings a week.

Formation Dj Acceleration

We give more experienced Dj people the chance to sign in for technical courses in their own domain. We organise 2 day stages & special trainings.

Official DJ Certification

We are the first Dj School in Belgium so no related certificate issue is known in our country. In relation with federal authorities & conform European Law, the procedure is starting & ongoing. We have send out our demand to receive our official licenses and hopefully they will be ready by the end of 2008.

New Objectives 2008

We are ready to give workshops and buzzer out our Dj Academix all over Belgium.

People maybe know or not, but we live in a country with 2 different communities : french & dutch speaking so we are obliged to work out our programs adapted in 2 languages.  For this reason a field specialist came into the Esl Academix to extend the Flanders network. But Esl Academix will remain a Belgium based Academy. Music has no frontiers… 

Construction Flanders Field 2008

We build up in Flanders several hot spots (Gent – Leuven – Hasselt) to give workshops on loation ! Programs are build on demand. 

These locations are the strongest working offical Youth Clubs well know in their region, succesfull and fully recognized by the Belgian federal governement.

July & August 2008 is a period of special opportunities: young people are free and holidays rules ! That means that we train at a frequency of one weekly workshop (on every hub).

During the year we spot on workshops on demand.

Our Mission

We want to be the Belgium standard and the reference in Dj world… continuous developping & innovating is the drive in our team. Life is too short for boring music.
